Please carefully read our FAQ’S and Terms and Conditions. Our team is instructed to follow these policies and company procedures. To save any misunderstanding we would be grateful if you can observe the following:

  • If you have a medical or life threatening emergency please call 9-1-1. We do have a manager’s contact line for you to reach if we are not in the office at (504) 539-6269.

  • Our balconies on the 2nd and 3rd floors offer a panoramic view of the vibrant French Quarter of New Orleans. To ensure a pleasant experience for everyone, we kindly request your adherence to the following balcony policy:

    Safety Guidelines:

    Your safety is paramount. Please use caution while on the balconies and refrain from leaning over or climbing on the railings.

    For the safety of all guests, especially children, balcony doors should remain locked when not in use.

    Respectful Behavior:

    Enjoy the sights and sounds of the city while being considerate of noise levels, particularly during late hours, to maintain a peaceful environment for all guests.

    Kindly avoid any behavior that may disrupt or inconvenience other guests or passersby enjoying the neighborhood.

    Environmental Responsibility:

    Help us preserve the cleanliness of our beautiful city by refraining from discarding items, including trash or cigarette butts, from the balconies onto the street below.

    Crowd Awareness:

    During peak times or special events, such as Mardi Gras, the streets may be crowded. Please exercise caution during these times and remain aware of your surroundings.

    Mardi Gras Balcony Rentals:

    Guests have the exclusive opportunity to rent assigned spaces on the balconies during Mardi Gras festivities. Contact our concierge in advance to inquire about availability and pricing for this unique experience.

    Assigned balcony spaces during Mardi Gras will be subject to specific terms and conditions, including occupancy limits and additional guidelines provided upon reservation.

    Additional Information:

    To enhance your experience, please avoid overcrowding on the balconies. There is a maximum occupancy limit for safety reasons.

    Balcony access is restricted to registered guests only. For security purposes, please refrain from allowing non-guests access to these areas.

    Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in restricted balcony access without refund or, in severe cases, eviction from the premises.

  • Maison Pierre Lafitte Office Hours are typically from 9am - 5pm CST on Monday-Thursday and 9am - 9pm CST on Friday - Sunday. Staff can be reached via phone during business hours at (504) 943-2543 or anytime via email at hmplfrontdesk@gmail.com

  • Guests are requested to settle their bills a minimum of 7 days prior to their stay. A valid credit card is required, for incidentals and bed taxes ($1/night), upon check in. We do not accept personal checks or cash.

  • Please carefully read our cancellation policy.

    Rarely can we make any exceptions to this. Our team is instructed to follow this policy and company rules. So to save any misunderstanding we would be grateful if you can observe the following:

    7-DAY CANCELLATION PERIOD

    A 7-day notice of cancellation is required for the reservation deposit to be refunded.

    The reservation deposit will not be returned if the customer cancels within the 7-day cancelation period.

    If the customer does not cancel their reservation prior to check-in date we have the right to charge the card file 100% of the total reservation price including taxes and fees.

    If the guest arrives and decides to leave early, the entire stay is charged and is Non-Refundable.

    No refunds will be provided for any wildfires, snowstorms, or natural events unless the city or property required evacuation. If the natural event occurs within 72 hours of the reservation being made, the guest will be allowed to cancel or alter the reservation dates free of charge.

    There is only few ways in which we can acknowledge cancellation of the guest’s reservation; the guest MUST contact booking channel where reservation was made (Expedia, Booking.com, Hotels.com, etc) and make the cancellation request directly through the platform, or if the reservation was created directly with our hotel or hotel website, you can contact us directly to cancel your reservation.

    HOLIDAY & FESTIVAL 30-DAY CANCELLATION PERIOD

    A 30-day notice of cancellation is required for the reservation deposit to be refunded for any and all Holiday & Festival reservations.

    50% of the reservation total cost will be returned if the customer cancels within the 30-day cancelation period.

    If the customer does not cancel their reservation prior to check-in date we have the right to 100% of the total reservation price including taxes and fees.

    If the guest arrives and decides to leave early, the entire stay is charged and is Non-Refundable.

    No refunds will be provided for any wildfires, snowstorms, or natural events unless the city or property required evacuation. If the natural event occurs within 72 hours of the reservation being made, the guest will be allowed to cancel or alter the reservation dates free of charge.

  • PAYMENT:

    Guests are required to settle their bills 7 days prior to arrival.

    CHECK IN:

    You can check-in any time after 4PM (Central Standard Time). Room Number and Check-in Codes will be provided to you the day of your arrival. Early check in is a $35 charge and the early check in time is dependent on when our housekeepers are able to make sure your room is clean and ready for your party.

    CHECK OUT:

    You can check-out any time up until 10AM (Central Standard Time). Later check-out times may be requested although we may not always be able to accommodate late check outs and approval will depend on availability and on how busy we are. A late check out is a $35 charge.

    EXTENDED STAY:

    After you have booked your stay with us, you can extend your stay (depending on availability) by simply letting us know before you arrive. If you are already staying with us and you would like to stay longer, please let us know at least 24 hours before your check-out date. We will do our best to accommodate your new plans, and this can include relocating you to a similar room should this be necessary.

    PLEASE NOTE:

    At check-out time, please lock the door behind you when you leave, and follow check-out instructions. A more detailed inspection of the room is usually made after the check-out time and we reserve the right to make charges for any violations of our property rules, damages to the room, staining our sheets or towels, or breakages found before the room is occupied again.

  • Whether or not you’ve booked through a third party, did it directly online, even if it was several months ago, it’s very important that you confirm your stay with us. Call (504) 527-5800 or Email hmplfrontdesk@gmail.com to confirm your stay as soon as your reservation is made.

  • For enhanced guest comfort, Maison Pierre Lafitte has a secure entry system. Only those with an access code can enter through the front doors. Please contact our staff at 504-527-5800 to ensure you have access to the building in case of event of travel delays which cause you to arrive after hours. Our self accommodating set up makes it easy to arrive as you wish.

  • Please carefully read our Festival & Holiday cancellation policy.

  • Our first priority is the experience of our guests so we have a strict policy against the use of any of our facilities for unauthorized professional or commercial photography or videography.

    Commercial photography or video shoots are not permitted at Maison Pierre Lafitte without express written permission from the hotel management.

    Guests may shoot non-commercial photography or video for their own personal use ( with no professional equipment, lighting, etc.) in their room or on the property but must respect the privacy and well-being of other guests in the area.

    Professional photography/videography will only be allowed if the Senior Management has given their permission before the shoot. All photography/ videography requests will be reviewed and approved based on occupancy, availability and content.

    Kindly note that unauthorized professional photographers/videographers who are not guests of the hotel will be asked to leave the hotel property immediately.

    Requests to use any area of the hotel as a location for commercial photo-shoots or filming as well as special occasion/ wedding shoots should be directed to Senior Management. These photo/ video shoots are subjected to fees and a strict schedule which must be approved by management.   • We do not allow any firearms onsite. Please do not bring any weapons with you during your stay with us at Maison Pierre Lafitte. Guests who fail to abide by this policy may be asked to leave the hotel premises, without refund. The hotel premises is private property, and our firearms policy applies to: (i) all firearms, regardless of whether the firearm is a handgun or a long-barreled gun; and (ii) all guests and visitors, even those possessing a valid license or permit to carry a firearm are not except from this policy. The only exception to the restrictions described in this firearms policy statement is for law enforcement officers and designated military personnel, who are on-duty and required to carry firearms in the performance of their duties.

  • Please note that all furniture is placed in the guest rooms specifically for a reason. Do not for any reason move any furniture around within the guest rooms. If any furniture (beds, TV's, dressers, night stands, etc) is moved out of its original placement, you will be subject to a minimum incidental charge of $100. Additional charges beyond the $100 will be based on assessed damage to any of the items that have been moved or any damage to the room that was created due to the furniture being moved.

  • Maison Pierre Lafitte has a loading area upon arrival, but does not offer parking at the hotel. There are multiple lots in the surrounding area that offer daily parking passes for about $25 per day. Please call our front desk agent for more information if you are in need of assistance with parking during your stay with us. Our office number is (504) 527-5800.

  • As part of our commitment to guest safety, employees will not disclose the identity, room number or presence of a guest to anyone other than appropriate law enforcement. This includes the taking of or delivery of messages or indirect forwarding of phone calls. It is the responsibility of guests to communicate their presence and room number to any person they wish to receive calls or visits from. Security cameras are used throughout the premises, and anyone on our property may be recorded. The hotel assumes no responsibility for any personal bodily injury incurred while using any of our communal areas & facilities, where available. If you use any of our communal areas and facilities, you do so at your own risk.

  • All offers are subject to availability at time of reservation.

    Offers are not valid in conjunction with any other offer or contract and do not apply to groups.

    Rates are per room, per night, vary by arrival date and/or length of stay, and do not include applicable taxes, service charges, levies, resort fees or surcharges, unless otherwise noted.

    Early departure fees may apply.

    Rates are subject to change.

  • Tenant shall indemnify and hold Maison Pierre Lafitte and its staff harmless against any and all claims, losses, damages and liabilities sustained by the guest resulting from, rising out of, or connected with any breach of, or non-fulfillment of any representation, warranty, covenant or agreement made by or other obligation of guest contained in these Terms and Conditions.

  • Maison Pierre Lafitte is not responsible or liable for any items lost or left behind during a guest's stay. If you did forget something, you can contact our customer support and we can see what we can do to get your personal items returned to you. This will be handled on a case-by-case basis and the hotel is not responsible for any shipping costs, coordination, or damage to your personal items.

  • A $35 USD charge applies for each room key that is damaged, misplaced, and/or unreturned upon checkout.

  • You must be 21 years or older to confirm guest room accommodations at any of our Hotels.

    A valid Government issued photo ID will be checked at check-in time to confirm the check-in guest name matches the reservation on file.

  • We want you to have a wonderful time when you are here. But if things get too crazy, we go by the old-school rule of ‘you break it, you buy it’ and property damages or missing items will be charged to your credit card at market value.

    During your stay, the room and all equipment and furniture should be treated with care and kept in order. Immediate notification to our hotel staff will be expected of any damages or breakages in the room. You (The Tenant) is financially responsible for any damage to the room. This includes losses caused by you (The Tenant) or a third-party negligent actions and behavior. A detailed review of the condition of the room and all equipment and facilities will be made soon after check-out and before another guest occupies the room. The Tenant is responsible for any damages or breakages found that are over and above normal wear and tear and usage. In this case, a detailed statement of damage along with an invoice for the repair or replacement cost will be sent by email or text immediately. Any costs will be deducted from the deposit immediately if this is still possible. Any costs will be claimed by return if they are greater than the deposit or where the deposit has already been returned. Please note, immediate notification after check-out of any damages to, breakages in or issues with the room is expected.

    Our Hotel can then take any necessary action to resolve any issues and make sure all the equipment and facilities are working and provided as expected. The costs of damages or cleaning beyond what would be expected after responsible usage of the apartment will be charged.

    Please be aware that bed linen and towels should be placed where they were originally found. The bed linen and towels are NOT gifts and should remain in the room. Any damages to the towels, linens, or room equipment/furniture will likely result in additional fees and charges.

    Furniture Clause:

  • All our guests are asked to respect the property and privacy of the neighbors and to not make any excessive noise between the hours of 10:00pm PST and 8:00am PST. This rule is applied as per our Hotel Policy, so any noise and/or loud partying is not permitted and is subject to immediate termination of the reservation and the room code will be revoked along with a $250 charge.

  • We are a smoke free property. This includes rooms, patios, balconies, hallways. If guests wish to smoke, they need to be located away from the hotel building. By reserving a room with Jean Lafitte House, you are confirming that you agree to a $250 fine (minimum) if ANY evidence of smoking is found in the room or in any of the building areas such as window ledges, stairs.

  • Our hotel does not allow any pets in the rooms. ADA Compliant Service animals do not apply. Service Dog Fraud is a Crime. "Emotional Support Animals" and "therapy animals" are not considered ADA Service Animals.

  • Guests shall not engage in the following acts, either on their own or through the use of a third party.

    Registering or providing false information when staying at the hotel

    Using fraudulent payment methods such as stolen credit cards when staying at the hotel

    Using the hotel for business purposes without permission from the hotel

    Mass booking followed by mass cancellation or any similar acts

    Repeatedly making and canceling bookings without a justifiable reason, or any similar acts

    Impersonating the hotel or the hotel group, or any act that could be mistaken for such

    Unauthorized access of systems or computers or any similar acts

    Sending or uploading harmful computer programs or any similar acts

    Removal, defacing, or destroying equipment within the hotel facilities, or any similar acts

    Obstruction of business or damaging the reputation or brand of the hotel or hotel group by making demands that exceed socially acceptable norms, or slandering, defaming, threatening, or harassing the Hotel or its staff or posting inflammatory remarks on social networking sites, or any similar acts

    Violence, threats, extortion, or other coercive and unreasonable demands against the hotel or its staff

    Any acts that cause or risk causing inconvenience, damage, or disadvantage to other guests, third parties, the hotel, or the hotel group

    Any acts that infringe or risk infringing on the copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights, privacy rights, personal rights, or any other rights of other guests, third parties, the hotel, or the hotel group

    Acts that violate or risk violating public order or law, or any criminal acts

    Displaying the power of an organized crime group or acts of aiding and abetting an organized crime group

    Violation of any other provisions of these Terms and Conditions

    Violation of any other rules in the Hotel Rules and Regulations

    Any other acts deemed inappropriate by the hotel

    The hotel shall be entitled to claim compensation from the guest for any damages incurred as a result of the acts in the preceding paragraph.

  • Your reservation is not transferable.

    Nothing herein above constitutes or be deemed to constitute any tenancy or sub-tenancy or any right of tenancy or sub-tenancy or any right or interest in the hotel premises or any part or position thereof in favor of any guest or resident or visitor.

    If you have any allergies, sensitivities or intolerance to, but not limited to: a particular fabric, material, cleaning product or food, it is not Hotel’s responsibility to advise Hotel management prior to arrival.

  • As a private establishment, Maison Pierre Lafitte and its staff have the right to refuse any guest, at any time.

  • When you make a reservation, you are booking a room type, not a specific room.

    Each room type includes similar rooms of equivalent size and equipment; however, interior design and floor plans can be different.

  • Group trips are fun! When booking, keep maximum occupancy rules in mind- four people max for rooms with a single bed (Queen or King + the sofa sleeper) and six people max for rooms with multiple beds.

    Additional guests must be confirmed with management or a $250 fine will be charged to the card on file for any violation.

    One child under 4 years old stays free of charge. All other children are considered for Total Capacity allowed per Room.

  • All offers are subject to availability at time of reservation.
